My fiance has been in since 6/21/16 and she was getting better until this morning she started throwing up and it took them forever to come into the room. The doctor has been up making his rounds and passed her room a few times nobody knows what's going on

I've been in and out of Wilson several times as a patient. Used their out patient services and have had a lot of test done at different times over the years. Have been airlift b/c of problems they weren't equipped to handle and can honestly say have never had a problem with Wilson Health Hospital. Are they perfect of course not non of them are. Sure there may be a wait in getting a room for admission but it takes time to get all the test results back and getting everything setup to for you. I'd rather be waiting in an ER to be admitted in case something else happened than anywhere else. When you or a loved one are sick things seem to take twice as long as they really do but I'm sure you'd prefer to have all the facts before a medical diagnoses is made. Just be glad you're wanting for those results at the hospital rather than at the morgue. Urgent Care in Plaza, I've been there to and the doctor refuse to treat me, sent me to ER for MERSA. Had know idea what that was but learned very fast.
My wife and I had our son delivered at Wilson and that was an amazing experience. Prior to and during the delivery the doctors and nurses were attentive, caring and willing to explain things to us if we had questions. Sometimes they knew what questions we would have even before we did. After our son was born however, we haven't been met with quite the same caring and compassionate staff. The pediatrician, Karen Smith and one of her nurses leave much to be desired in the way of bedside manner. They have been rude, curt and have dismissed concerns we've had about our son by giving the most common cause they can think of for the problem, all without even looking at him. The worst part is that when my wife expressly told them that we wanted to take him elsewhere for his shots because we are dissatisfied with the service at Dr. Smith's office, they went against our wishes and bullied my wife into having his shots done there. I suspect because their office can squeeze a little more money from our insurance this way. We have spoken to many of our friends and coworkers in the area and among those that have gone to this particular office, reviews have been mixed. That being said you can count us firmly in the displeased category. This review could have easily been a five star review if only for the birthing center. It is unfortunate that the pediatric care has left such a sour taste for us.
